It's Loom Day!! Yeah!!!
Another day....Another dollar....or lack thereof! We had a super busy weekend at work so I'm worn out today. I am waiting for dh to come home with the rental truck then we are off to Chicago to pick up my loom. I am so excited! I can't wait to get it home and start weaving. I have no clue what to make for my first project. I have a lot of yarns spun up but not sure how suitable they are for weaving. They might make a nice shawl though.
On the Mystery Pi progress....the "progress" or lack thereof has been astounding! I have started the third clue 4 times now and spent most evenings in the frog pond. Thank goodness for lifelines! I think I've finally figured out my error and have restarted the third clue again. I hope to make some progress today. If I could learn to count I would've had it finished already! Oh well, live and learn....I'm off to knit and wait for the truck.

Congratulations on your new loom! I wish you much happiness with it. (I was a nurse, too, but no longer practice. I do fiber arts now.)
Wow, lucky you to be getting a loom! How fun! I'm also a nurse, and I'm knitting the adventure mystery pi too. Except for the different yarns (mine's Knitpicks gossamer) our pi shawls look about the same--Peas and Snowdrops. I'm not sure about that 3-D clue either. I've managed to find all the editing errors the hard way and like you, I don't get how one does a left leaning decrease into a double yo. It makes no sense to me. I've just been knitting the two loops together, calling it the goofy stitch, and moving on. Well, moving on between tinking and visits to the frog pond. LOL And to think I'm knitting this for relaxation while working on my dissertation. What was I thinking????
Thanks for visiting my blog...This is all new to me. I'm a certified Med/Surg nurse. I'm too poor with too many kids to not practice! HA! I figure I'll die at work!
Hey beadntat...I'm working on my Master's as well. I'm on sabbatical right now. If I get insane enough I might finish one day. Clue 3D has me whipped in the pants! I'm only on row 13. Good luck! So much for the relaxation theory!
